Away Awhile

You see, I have these 5 darling grands that live on the opposite side of this great nation from where I live and I really, really miss them . . . and their wonderful parents.
Flying out for a fun, loving time.
Hope I don't freeze.
See you later alligator.

Sharing

Here are some cell phone pics to share. Christie was kind enough to drive around the town - Danville, PA., until we re-found this street sign..Jacobs Alley. Just for you JAKE!! Cindy gave me a Sweet 100's tomato plant for my birthday so it's only reasonable that I show her how that little green plant has grown and produced. Thanks sweet CINDY. Hope and pray you're feeling better and will be able to come down this spring and eat some of these yummies.

Thanks for the Valentine Trevlyn. I love this and it adds such fun color on the patio table. Being remembered was so wonderful.
Packing for yet another trip. Heading north to visit the Utah clan. Short trip but sure to be fun. Yes, I've checked the weather and will be packing boots, coat, scarf and gloves for the snow. We have a new member of the family up there I've not met yet...yes, a dog is part of our family. That's the way I feel. Hope to share pictures with her.
Bye for now.

We're Hooooooooommmmme

That's what I'd say as we drove in the driveway when you kids were young. Well, I'm home from PA. Got out before all the snow closed down the east coast.

I plopped immediately into multiple dental chairs, ended up with an

EXCRUCIATING root canal.

Acute infection in nerves and bone.

Double antibiotics for 10 days.

Pulling out of the FOG.

The JCK family in PA were/are wonderful. So great to be in on the beginning of the newest member of our family.

Hey, Parker, Ella, Jackson, Asher and Beckett, Grammy misses you.

Shout out to precious sister Cindy for a speedy recovery. Almost 2 1/2 weeks in the hospital, surgery and she's such a strong lady. Love, prayers and best wishes dear one.

Because of Beckett

I've got my ticket for PA and fly out tomorrow for a two week stay. Hopefully to be some help to our growing family, dishing out tons of cuddles and kisses, reading books, painting nails, "doing" hair, laundry, cooking and cleaning. Whew, families certainly are worth it all!!!

I've been hovering over the computer, ready to strike the key and get my boarding pass this morning.

Oh please let it be an A.

Please let me get isle seats.

It's going to be a l-o-n-g trip with a plane change in the windy city. I've checked the weather and don't see any blizzards so I think it will all be good.

I'm back, printed an A39 pass. It'll be fine.

Hoping SLK can keep the plants alive . . . especially those tomatoes

and geraniums

and petunias

and lobelia

and marigolds

and daisies

and verbenas

and Cape Plumbago

and jasmine

and lemon "shrubs"

and mums

and, you know.

He really does try.

Don't know what if any blogging I'll be able to do. If you don't hear from me check out What's Up Doc and get a hint of the PA experience.

On my mark.

Getting set . . .

Photo Sharing of PA Trip

The pressure from Cindy's comment :) put me to uploading a few pics to share. We set off on Friday for our trip to D.C. Here are Parker and Asher buckled up for the trip. It was a cool and foggy morning.
(Camera shy) Jackson, Jesse, Ella and Parker.

These photos were taken out my window as we sped through the countryside. I "drank in" the views of this rural panorama.
We drove past Amish homes with their fantastic homemade quilts displayed over front porch railings and a sale sign. That was hard to pass up.

The trees were so dense along side the highway.
The older the homes the more interesting.

Passed signs to Gettysburg but it wasn't in our time frame...this time.

After checking into our rooms in Maryland, we set off on foot to locate the train a few blocks away and get into D.C.
These flowering trees in Maryland were too gorgeous to not stop and photograph. Reminds me of our Hong Kong Orchid trees here in AZ. It was a pretty walk to the train station.

We were there the weekend prior to the Cherry Blossom Festival but saw a few in bloom and marveled.
Riding the train with my buddy Jackson. It was no small task figuring out which trains to take, tickets from the machines, transfers, escalators, train doors, seats, 2 strollers and holding a lot of little hands.

Ella, Christie and Asher
Parker and Jesse behind a partition but on the same train.
More to come.
