My heart is still so tender and concerned for the people in Japan enduring so much hardship, and heartache following the earthquake and tsunami.

I hope we are all praying for them.

Here is a MSNBC headline:

In Japan, the Mormon Network Gathers the Flock.

I realize even more that emergency preparation is not only important to my family survival but what I may be able to do for others in need through sharing.
Happy day, msk

National Day of Prayer

Not much time to post today. I'm off to City Hall. Yes, I'm going to be one of those people that assemble at city halls across the nation today for a brief moment of silent prayer to honor National Day of Prayer. I am deeply sorry that our current president has broken with tradition and is not having any type of ceremony at the White House. His privilege. My privilege is to respectfully gather and pray for my country, my leaders, the servicemen and servicewomen who are in the military. President Obama said he will have a private prayer this morning as I do, but I feel a real need to honor this national day. I believe in the power of prayer. I believe in God who answers prayers (maybe not in the way I want-"thy will be done"). I believe in the power of many uniting in prayer. I believe I should be a part of this.

And if you feel you need more of an inspiring post, go read my darling friend's at The Daily Grapefruit. Her equally darling husband waved at Kirby and I out walking this morning. Such delightful neighbors.
