Almost Packing

With a little trip on the horizon I've started to plan what clothes to pack and get them all in ship shape. I really don't like the pressure of last minute packing. I'm not saying I do this really well but I find I get better with age. Yes, I hear a couple of you saying "At your age you should have perfected it". And those fun gals that would say that . . . and get away with it, are just the ones I'm so excited to be spending time, fun and games with.

Getting excited!

Happy day, msk

PA Bound

I'm off to Pennsylvania for a love-in a.k.a. visiting with Jesse, Christie and the gang. You'll hear from me when I get back. Be safe.

My Day In New York

Saturday was an awesome day trip to New York. Here are an assortment of photos from Lake Canandaigua, Palmyra Temple, Smith Family Farm, Sacred Grove and the Hill Cumorah. Thank you J and C for the long day that I will never forget. I loved this wonderful experience.

Photos from PA

Today we went to Knoebels Amusement Park and had a marvelous time. This is a little Disney.land. Pictures do not do it justice. Also pictures at dinner tonight. PA is a beautiful state and I'm really enjoying my stay with this great family.

Where In The World is MSK?

Actually, home packing for my week long trip to Danville, PA tomorrow. Can you imagine my airline only allows me to check one bag. What's a grammy to do that has been purchasing little surprised??? Here's a little geography lesson on Pennsylvania. I fly into Charlotte, N.C. and have a brief layover. I'll see if I can follow my tradition and leave Kirby DNA in the airport (nothing gross friends, just a hair!).

I just know I will be so welcomed. The sad part is having my precious family live so very far away. The fun part is they have lived in Oklahoma, Georgia and now Pennsylvania so I get to see this great country of ours (flag waving at this point please-if prompted you may want to place hand over heart).

This is where son spends a great deal of his time being a doctor, Geisinger Medical Center. It is the town. You can learn more about it here.

Here is the Susquehanna River flowing at flood stage through Danville, Pa. It's NOT flooding currently. I think I will definitely have to have my photo taken on the banks of the Susquehanna. A trip to Palmyra, New York is on the docket and seeing the church historical sites and temple there. My camera is all charged up and you know I'll be a real shutterbug.
I'm more than a bit concerned leaving Kirby in his recuperative stage but I know all will be okay; SLK loves this good boy too and darling MTN will come by to let him out and give loves (much thanks!). This morning I've got bread and cake baked, 1 dozen eggs hard boiled so SLK will have some of his favorite convenience foods not to mention frozen entrees at the ready. Know I will be thinking of you and you loves can definitely call...just remember the 2-3 hours time difference.
