Thrifting Treasures

It's small, 9"X 10 3/4", either oil or acrylic on canvas.
Currently sitting on my bookshelf.

Here's a close-up. I think I'll be keeping this little treasure.
I think it is so lovely.
I found this at Sweet Salvage while on a thrifting safari with Kathy S. and Trevlyn.

Another tureen. I don't know if it is ironstone but I think so. I'll use it in an "arrangement" if one of the kiddos doesn't talk me out of it-which would be easy. It will be used tomorrow along with my other white tureens filled with citrus arrangements for our annual stake Relief Society dinner and program.

I saw this authors name and knew it with the rocket boy from the movie October Sky! I loved the movie based on his life but know nothing about this book. Thinking it will be a good read then passed along.

Oh my, a little baby boy bomber cap lined with flannel. Linny got Jared a similar hat for Christmas only fur lined and fancy. I couldn't pass it up. It will someday keep a grands head toasty.

Maybe since I do a little crocheting I have a big appreciation for this sort of handcraft.
I loved this creamy granny squares afghan. It's price was $2.99 but I got 25% off today on Senior Day and if I'm a SENIOR I'll take that discount thank you very much ;)

Knitted afghan, beautiful, $3.99 then the 25% off. What a steal.
I'll have these all washed and ready to use or share.

The book on the left is the Bible story book Mom read me many nights. After a story I can remember asking/nagging Mom to read just one more. I grew up loving the lessons learned from the Old and New Testaments.
The book on the right is my great find, a newer addition of our family version. Now this really is a treasure which I so appreciate.

And here's the Pottery Barn Kids baby boy quilt in
perfect condition I got for $3.99...before discount.

Close-ups.

Today was a successful thrifting day, tomorrow is washing day. I'm grateful.

Wow, just love all your treasures. What a great eye you have. YES, Sweet Salvage is on the list now. I will definitely have to bring an empty suitcase with me in April.
