It Started With Eggs

Hello sweet ones. I hope you are having great days. I do feel your day would be better if you were pool side with me though but I can't always have my way. Know you're thought of with love and longing.

Today started well, cool morning and all the windows open. Great little breeze and orange blossom infused air. Good 2+ miler with the hairy one-visited with a South Dakota grammy strolling her grand, watering of the endless pots of plants, deadheading and viewing with appreciation. Honking geese flying over the backyard...coming your way perhaps to get out of the heat here. Worked on "situation" that hopefully won't cause a problem for our quarterly Enrichment Night tonight.

Scrubbed the kitchen and then set to work juicing 2 grocery bags of oranges from dear MT and Margareta. Oh how I love the fresh oranges I have been blessed with this year!!!! Big appreciation.

I next set out to hard boil eggs. After the cooking time I carried the pan of eggs over to the kitchen sink to drain. Big mistake. With my arthritic hand weakened I lost grip and spilled a panful of boiling water on my foot. Burning badly and trying to get my walking shoe and sock off then stood for quite a time with my leg and foot up in the kitchen sink soaking in cold water.

Tough old gal and I'm going to be fine. Only problem with a badly burned and blistered foot I can't wear shoes. Not even my beloved zorie. I think I'll be at church tonight barefooting. Oh well.

This is not an April Fools either. Picture proof. Do I have more sympathy from you now? I love a good sympathy party. :) 3
