Good Old Days Monday

I snapped this picture of a barrel cactus on my morning walk in the neighborhood. I love the after-blossom-stage when the little "pineapples" develop. I remember pulling one of those off the plant and shaking out the multitude of tiny, black seeds in my hands as a girl. I didn't do that today since this wasn't my cactus. That's a fun memory for me.

Yes, I too remember picking them and the little black seeds, and I would have picked one today and checked out the seeds. I'm sure the neighbor would love for me to experience my youth one more time! hugs, Jody
