FUN But Kinda Crazy

First the fun. Family is gathering in for the Thanksgiving holiday and I couldn't be happier about that. Now just to get the girls driving through the night Wednesday to arrive on Thursday morning here safely and I will be most pleased.

The crazy part. SLK has been in the hospital with a kidney stone and a lot of pain since Sunday afternoon. After successful surgery late this afternoon we are hoping he is home tomorrow and feeling much improved and out of pain. These darling grands will be just the good medicine he needs.

Now for a few fun photos. Remember. . . IT IS NOVEMBER. But try telling that to adorable grands who have been wanting to swim when they come down here. The water is more than chilly. It is COLD. But on a sunny, 80's degree day, the sounds from the back yard were definitely summer sounds of laughing, playing, water splashing and spraying. I loved it. Great joy. We also played "hide the lizard" (toy) which is like the "hide the dinosaur" we play in Macon. We ate sourdough hotcakes, colored, sang, cracked and ate a small mountain of nuts, played with various toys and games, moon shoes, watched a funny video Rocketman, visited Grandpa in the hospital, and touched a saguaro cactus. Hope you are having fun and not too much crazy.

Watchful and shaded parental eyes.
Mom A checking to see if O is feeling too cold...O claims no while H's hose backfires.

Hummmm, I 'm wondering if Annette is blogging in this photo. See her laptop.

What is it about water play-I've never known a kid that didn't love it. Note big, warm, fluffy towels at the ready.

The ever dutiful watch dog. He'll watch but don't expect him to dive in and save my precious grands, he hates the pool. The boys love giving him carrots for tricks.

Aunt T surprised the boys with their own scary bunnies. I tucked the boys into bed tonight and each had their little "monster" with them. Hope the grands have sweet and not scary dreams.

I was just telling Jesse last night how much I wished we were there with you guys. One Thanksgiving, in the not to distant future, we will all be together.

We wish we were there too to be completely honest! It looks fun and we're feeling sorry for ourselves and cold and lonely. As far as crazy...the dog's face says it all! Love it!! Have fun and happy recovery to Grandpa. I was actually looking for a pie crust recipe from you so I'll have to check out your other site...
