Pies and Family Fun

Good news-SLK was released from the hospital this afternoon. Still feeling a bit punky but hoping tomorrow brings great improvement. Being a tad tired myself, I'll let my photos of today tell my story of happiness with family. Don't have enough pictures to capture all the fun and pleasures of the day though.
Here's sweet P. She and I had a fun morning as I asked to keep her while the rest of her family did a little retail therapy. We enjoyed our stroll through the neighborhood and she was so good. Not the best picture but these little girls are so darling. Tessa really likes having the cousins around and was extra helpful and tender with P, even stroking her hair.

I go for the cheap laugh - so let Kirby model his Halloween costume for the kids. A good laugh at a very nice dogs expense. Can you actually tell by his dog expression that he feels a bit humiliated.

H really got into helping with the pie making/baking tonight. He peeled most of the apples but O did do a couple. We had fun smelling the yummy spices cinnamon, clove and nutmeg we grated on the spot. Did you know clove is just love with a c.

More fast apple peeling, coring, slicing. Just love this device when making apple pies!!!

Jake and Owen take on Andy in a game of pick-up-sticks. I can only play this game on the floor for some reason.

AK and MTN were out doing a little thrifting. Bet we see something cute they end up making from their successful trip. With 3 pumpkin and 2 apple pies ready for tomorrow I will admit that some of us are already sneaking tastes. Thanks MTN for bringing over that delicious, homemade pumpkin pie for dessert tonight!!!! Now that gets one in the mood for the upcoming feast.

D&L are on the road having left Provo about 8 pm for the all night drive. Prayers for safety.
