PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Normally I would not put a recipe on here without trying it first - which brings me to the topic - Can you read a recipe and just know how good it will be and that you will like it? Well, after reading this recipe I just knew I had to try making this cookie. My problem is I have to give most of it away ASAP or I'll eat the whole load. I do have one dilemma, I don't use pumpkin pie spice but have all the other spices that go into making that so may have to do a little online search to work out those equations. I'm off to get pumpkin this a.m. after I finish vacuuming the house and then I'm making these goodies but I'm setting the butter out now to soften. If you want to wait for my review before baking. . . I'll return and report.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 cup packed dark-brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 large egg
1 cup canned solid-pack pumpkin
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
chocolate chips (as many as you want)

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
2. Mix all ingredients.
3. Bake for 22-24 minutes.
RETURN AND REPORT: The cookies are okay. They look very pretty, just like the picture. I think they are probably healthy with a cup of pumpkin and it's accompanying fiber. Can't rave about them. Hope I didn't waste your time in reading this. Also, I had a can of pumpkin on hand, yea food storage, even so I did do my vacuuming first. Now off to do the dusting.
