Another Great Mess!

...and I'm feeling very grateful.

Do you remember me sharing the horrific hail storm we had a few months ago.

It was really, really, terribly scary, loud and did so much damage to my precious plants.

You know how I am about my plants.

I am a Geiss girl after all!

As it turns out, the insurance adjuster crawled all over our house and made the announcement that we qualified for:

A NEW AC UNITE

NEWLY PAINTED HOUSE

NEW SOLAR GARDEN LIGHTING

AND...

A NEW ROOF

and that is the current, wonderful mess of the week.

Unloading shingles finished and now the old roof is being taken off.

Wow, but the noise was really loud. Louder inside the house than out.

Love the budding out of this tree. We've done some trimming and you can now see the living room window better along with the shutters and pretty new windows.

Backside of house but you can see the color. It's called Black Oak and I'm really happy with it.

We also had the roofers extend the west side of the back patio cover. More protection from the brutal summer sun. That walkway leads to my dear "solar dryer".

We've made another big mess in all of this and the window mess isn't entirely cleaned up yet. It will be all back in shape shortly.
