I remember that morning so clearly in 2001. I think of my mom telling me about the day she remembered Japan bombing American at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. These were horrible days. So much sadness and grief. So much loss. Freedom is hard won. Remaining free and helping others to be free continues to be difficult. These are hard times and yet I feel incredibly blessed. I feel rich in freedom and opportunity. I feel grateful to be an American. You know I'll be hauling out my flag and hanging it up on the house just as I did on September 11, 2001 when I was practically numb with grief. It was the least I could do. There are so many in our neighborhood that now fly our glorious flag. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you'll take the time to watch the following. Will you be flying our grand old flag on Thursday?
