Christmas in September

Of course you remember my delight when I won the drawing at Mary's blog SimplyHappy Home on the occasion of her 1 year blogiversary. Delight is putting it mildly!! Well, I had some problems getting my mailing info to her but we finally connected and she really treated me. When I opened the box look at the cute surprises...darling ribbon around each treasure. She puts the extra touch I can tell.

Look at this quilt, such precise detail and little pieces expertly sewn together. Since I am not a quilter I am using my laywoman's terms I'm sure. You that know me also know these are my colors.

Lovely, lovely detail up close and personal.

Beautiful blue backside. Have I not loved blue forever. Do I not have blue plates on my walls (just like Mary I found out).

Doesn't it look great draped over the back of the love seat! THANK YOU MARY. Yes, I know it was a drawing but I'm just taking it so very personally...silly me.

Of course you expect me to show what was in the two other parcels don't you... fabric to make my own something. Lori V. is coming over tomorrow and since she is a truly fine quilter too maybe she can give me some tips and encouragement. Aren't they great colors and patterns. Oh, and that other package, well, it was delicious chocolates from Ethels but they were devoured before the camera came into play. Oh so good and buttery. Oh I like buttery anything way too much and it's beginning to show. Oh dear. How many more Oh's can you take.

And by the way, this was my chest last night. I think I donated buttery blood.

Wow ... now I am taking this personally because it is perfectly clear to me that my quilt was meant to be in your room. Thanks for the praise. I couldn't be more thrilled that you won!

Blue does rule.
