This morning was absolutely wonderful. A good brisk walk was only missing my walking buddy who has blown out his ACL and is scheduled for surgery in 1 1/2 weeks. After mixing up multiple watering cans of fertilizer and feeding the endless plants and getting 2 loads on the solar drier I sat in the shade of the patio and called my darling sisters. It sounds like their
Geiss Thumbs will be busy today if the rain lets up a bit. Wishing I could share a bit of my sun and 90 degrees. It seems as though we sisters never tire of talking about our flowers. Jody's lilac is about to bloom and she's soaking her peas prior to planting, Cindy's fruit trees are blooming but it's cold and needing little bees to pollinate and she has a ton to plant. When I mentioned I'd been blog challenged lately and didn't dare post more about my plants, Cindy told me it was entirely okay with her if I did so. Thanks, that took a little stress off me. Drama Me.
Doesn't it seem like I was just showing the photos of the muddy patch that I'd seeded with zucchini and yellow squash. Looky, looky. That's a 5" zucchini and 3" yellow squash. I'm stoked. It's just the beginning I hope. Below that you'll see my tomatoes almost ready to pick and a new flush of green peppers.
Here's a little snapdragon "volunteer" in the rocks and I still don't know what this is next to the "babies breath" from the wild flower seed packet.
Beautiful blue Plumbago (left) and then more babies breath mingling with yellow African daisies.
More wildies (left) and then the "sky flowers" with the bougainvillea. I love the white edge around the purple sky flower.
This two-tone pink wildie started blooming about a week ago. Can anyone tell me the name? Pretty thing isn't it. It's tall too, 2 ft. at least. The blue bachelor buttons are in the background.
I've been busy "harvesting" African Daisie seeds this week and planting them all over the place. I'm hoping to be over-run by them next spring...I'll need something to blog about and at least Cindy and Jody will love seeing more flowers. Happy day. 3

Your last flower picture starts with a "G" I've had them before and really liked them. Love the pictures, never too many! Hugs
You nerd, Mom....I absolutely LOVE your flower blogs!!! It makes me thankful that you planted the bug in me and it makes me wish I were there to enjoy them with you!!!
Hi, loved your flowers and veggies. I think your purplish flower is a pincushion flower. They come in many shades of pinks to purples, I have a couple of lavendar ones to plant. Much love, Cindy

The "nerd" thanks you all for your comments and help :)
I love the baby blue plumbago. Are the african daisies from the front? Did the patch grow this year?
Oops, spelled it wrong, its Goditia--so much for being "certain".
Love, C.
Cindy-thanks for the flower indentifications!!!
Boo-yes, the front yard daisies filled in very well and have been such a joy to me. I'm madly planting more seeds everywhere. Want some?
