Van Gogh or Monet

Sunflowers by Van Gogh
Sunflowers by Monet

It's always Monet for me. I do love the the impressionists greatly. Or maybe I should say I love the impressionist art style. Something soothing about looking upon that art. That's not to say I don't like or appreciate other styles for I do.

And speaking of sunflowers, the birds love the sunflower seeds and then they accidently spill them on the ground out of the feeder. Those tough shelled seeds take hold and sprout and then you have this wonderful mass of sunflowers. I speak from past experience. Two years ago I had a sunflower forest! Really. I didn't put the feeder up this year and it's a little too late to plant seeds so I'm passing this along to my cool climate dears to think about. The kids would love a sunflower forest and then it's so fun to watch the birds eat the seeds out of the sunflowers when they are mature. I'll you don't have some sunflower bird seed around just buy a package of seeds. Sprinkle with forthought or randomly. 3

VG for me! Was asked to back away from several in The Met by security guards because I just couldn't get enough.

My home revolves around Van Gogh's The Olive Trees. Just painted a bathroom the color of the tree trunks today. However, I have a reproduction of that EXACT Monet sweet Karen A in your ward painted and gave to me. I love it.

Vincent for me....had me sold at a very very young age on Starry Night. Then, add the Josh Groban version of that song and I'm eternally hooked. Nothing compares to seeing such great and vivid artwork in person, though. Dad took me to a museum in Chicago and it felt almost surreal to be standing a mere inches from Monet, Van Gogh, Grant Wood's American Gothic, and even Picasso's Old Man and Guitar.
Thanks for the beautiful artwork to start off the day :)

I am a Monet girl, although I love Van Gogh too! I have both hanging in my bedroom. I think it often depends on my mood which I like better. But I love impressionist art.
