I found a few more treasures to put on the tree that were stored in another box and added them to the tree. Then to my surprise I found my thrift store purchase of cute Crate & Barrel ornaments -5 for under $1.00 and added them too. I also purchased 2 more mini flags(England for Christie and Chile for Mark) to add to the ones I have of the 3 countries where you boys served your missions. Though flags aren't a traditional ornament, I really like them and what they represent on the tree. I think, maybe, the tree is finished for this year. Can you pick out any of your favorite ornaments? I know I've sent you some of your best treasures from grade school or scouting. Are those on your tree? I hope so. SLK and my first tree was a little, fit in the budget tree, I think about 4 ft. tall. It was fresh and smelled so good. I put it on the green trunk and it looked much taller and sharp. Most of the decorations were very simple and homemade from tissue paper and felt. The lights were ones I had purchased for my dorm at Deseret Towers that I shared with Dorinne...remember not to be confused with namesake daughter Dori. Remember the year we decorated with just the dried apple rings and animal shape sugar cookies and Maggie ate all the cookies she could reach. Clever dog. I really enjoy our trees. Hope you're having fun with yours. Love and thanks for all the fun memories of Christmas with you.

A walk down memory lane! Gotta love the white puddle we made in Joseph. I still have mine also. Merry Christmas, Hugs Jody
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR TREE. How fun to have a "Memory Tree". Ever since my first time seeing your tree (10 years ago now) I have been in love with this idea. Where did you get the flag ornaments? I'd love to get mine and Jesse's mission flags for our tree. Which is also (while on a much smaller version) our memories in the making. I should also ask, since I send an ornament each year, should I not be sending ornaments your way. I feel I could be contributing to you having to get a bigger tree each year.
Jack came in while I was reading this post, saw the picture of Grammy's tree and said"Wow, that's good"
It just looks more stunning every year!
Jody-I didn't remember the poodle being made in Joseph. Thanks for straightening me out. Our little "Pepe".
Christie-I've only seen the little flags at the BYU bookstore. They aren't an orament but just a little flag I tuck into the tree. And my motto is you can't have too many ornaments (or flowers).
Jackson-come share Christmas at Grammy's house.
T-you are always so kind to me!
Great idea maybe I should share our tree with everyone. Beautiful tree AS love you. 3
Absolutely beautiful as well as memorable. I agree---can't have too many ornaments or flowers! Love, Cin
