My Friend SUSAN BRANCH !

Thee Susan Branch. Okay, she's not my friend in the real sense of the word. We've never met except through her delightful recipes, cookbooks, art and the emails she sends me (okay, she sends to thousands). Her emails tell so much personal and fun information that I'm sure we would be very good friends given the opportunity. If you'll take a moment out of your busy day and click on Susan Branch Recipes you will see a lot of foods listed - your lucky day, you just click on whichever catches your fancy and you have the recipe and all Sue's (we would be on a nickname basis if given the opportunity) colorful, fun artwork.

I'm going to be making this recipe for Ed and Jody who arrive this week-end. It's a breakfast cake - that's what this noncoffee drinker calls a coffee cake sometimes - and it contains WALNUTS. If you know Ed, you know he has a thing for walnuts. This should put him in a good mood. Now, the fact that Jody and I don't like walnuts could be a problem... or not. Maybe the little walnuts will keep this treat at bay which could be a good thing. Maybe SLK and Ed will eat it all by themselves. I think they'll enjoy it. I'll return and report on this recipe.

Hope this adds a little fun spark to your day or evening. Sue and I love sharing. 3
P.S. I checked this cookbook out of the library many years ago having no prior knowledge of Susan Branch. Our first introduction.
