I'm Such a Good Boy Scout

This summer, in my attempt to "Be (more emergency) Prepared" - one of my favorite parts of the Scout Motto - I purchased a couple of these lamps with the summer monsoons in mind and the potential for electrical/power loss from storms. Fortunately I didn't need to use them but it's really a good feeling knowing that we had back-up other than the candles and flashlights I've stored. I purchased the first lamp at Hobby Lobby and then found the exact same thing at WalMart for a much better price so bought a second and extra wicks. I realized I didn't have much experience or knowledge. . . actually none when it comes to using these lamps and the very flammable oil. I found a very good, educational site and actually think I can be safe now using them.
