"Girls" Gathering

Family, family, family....just the best. Over the past 3 years and through the initial efforts of cousin Tammy, we have had glorious gatherings with more of our G family. Here some of us gathered for dinner Monday evening. L to R Cindy, Skippie, Jody, Tammy and Moi. The Mexican food was a little hot and so are the ladies...silly me. And just to let you children know, we are "girls" and you will only understand that when you are our young age of 50's and 60's. Love you dear sisters and sister-cousins (double click this photo to see us up close and the great smiles!)

After dinner I went to Skippie and Garry's house for a two night sleep-over. Tuesday morning we three went on a good walk (most of the area neighborhoods are hilly which makes for a better workout) and then we met up with Dr. Garry at his office. He adjusted us both and what great work he does. I'm headache free, THANKS GARRY!!!!

At the office and see how good Skippie is feeling after that adjustment.

Several of you dears have my crocheted flannel blankets and many of them started here at Fabric Depot. Skippie and I did a little retail therapy there along with Abbie in the basket. We could have gotten out of the store much sooner but Abbie attracts everyone to give and receive loves.

Could you pass up this bundle of cuteness...NO.

Wednesday morning Tammy joined Skippie and I for a walk at the Springwater Trail. This trail is 17 miles long, paved and just great (no we didn't hike the full length).

Blackberries everywhere along the trail, huge amounts of them.

And Salmon berries - really pretty but I don't know what to do with them. We also saw big, pumpkin colored slugs, a 30 foot plum or prune tree

And this giant apple tree. Didn't get a picture of the Elderberries, ate one, it was sour but I had to taste it.

I gave Skippie a refresher course in crocheting since she is busy with a new grandbaby on the way and many hemstitched blankets to make. She in turn gave me knitting instructions and lots of help - thank you so much for your patients and instructions to take home. I really regret I didn't take pictures of the incredible sweaters she has knitted for you to see. I wish I could learn knitting from her as quickly as she picks up the crocheting from me. We also ate delicious food, enjoyed her beautiful flowers, adopted kitties and a fun movie night at home provided by Garry. I was so bold as to take pictures of her wonderfully decorated home that will yet be blogged so stay tuned. Great fun. Great thanks.

Looks like you had a great time Aunt Sue. I am sure it is so fun to be with your cousins and lovely I must say sisters. Glad you were able to go retreive your phone also last night. How fun. Just a pointer on your new colors of your blog. That parts that are white are hard to read on the purple. You might want to adjust those colors. Oh bossy me again LOL. 3
