Easter 2012

Thanks to my SIL Deborah who with her family was visiting during Easter week I have photos to share. Of course if you are friends with Deb on Facebook you've seen these.

This is the after dinner photo when we all lingered over good food and family stories. SLK and his brother had some new ones we'd not heard - always fun.

Not to be outdone, I told of how Cindy and I always sang while doing dishes as children and then we gave them a rousing rendition of the Lucky Strike cigarette gingle. Those were our days and you wouldn't believe how cigarettes were marketed on the old black and white television.

Our nephew seemed to have fun with our grands
and we were so glad to get to know him better.

Cindy created such beautiful flower arrangements for the table.

Tessa had recently had quite the bike crash and got the boo boo checked. It always helps when the family oohs and aahs and tells the grands what brave ones they are.

We did the 12 Easter eggs filled with scripture and token for all to take time to read and share. I think it turned out well and added to the spirituality of this sacred day.

Just more "lingering".

The Friday before we were treated, thank you very much Scott and Deb, to a cowboy dinner at Rustlers Roost. It's a fun restaurant and the view at night overlooking Phoenix lights is great. I'm sure the cowboys favorite dessert is cotton candy . . . right Thomas.
