I'd love to share this beautiful song and images with you. The song is one of my favorites, Mary Did You Know. I testify that I know Jesus Christ suffered and died for each of us. He rose from the dead and lives and loves us today. He lived a life most worthy of emulation. I wish you a joyful Easter with love.

I remember Mom telling me once that this hymn was one if not thee favorite of hers. So appropriate to read or sing today especially.

1. I'm often busy with meetings and appointments so don't get to watch much of American Idol. I'm usually glad when I do get to see it and enjoy it. As usual, I've not seen much of this season but have gotten interested in these two performers who are members of my church. Like that, my church. Change that to members of the same church I attend.

So much seems to being made over how goody-goody they are along with what talents they are.

I really, really don't think they/we can be too good. And I think they are so real. So refreshing. I hope you'll read about them here.

2. Well today is the big day, Andy & Sons leave the cold north to travel here for family fun and spring training games. Boo's brother and his son are also coming from CA so the house will be full of fun, people and I hope all leave with great memories. I've got their two rooms ready and fresh sheets and towels, the bath ready, all the ingredients for chicken enchilada casserole ready to put together but way too much stuff to either put away or hide somewhere.

Do you ever find yourself tucking things temporarily in odd places. Such a pitiful confession on my part but it's true.

The girl's rooms that double as guest rooms that double as storage rooms that double as craft rooms end up full of such unique things: those after Christmas sale ornaments and gifts, after Valentine's gifts, flannel, flannel and more flannel for my custom made grammy blankets, odd chair, old computer, seasonal arrangements, bags of yarn and projects of varying degrees of completion, books, toys and games that come out when grands come over and the list goes on.

I know this is one of my flaws and I just never get on top of the situation. But somehow it doesn't stop the fun. I can hardly wait. I'll return and report.

3. The zucchini and yellow squash seeds are sprouting so well. Do you think I'll ever be in the situation where I blog about too much zucchini; won't that be great. I have a really good zucchini bread recipe from Sue B. when we lived in Beavercreek and we were trying to raise Rex rabbits and kids. The tomato plants also have some of their first blossoms. This morning I also transplanted some lavender starts (volunteers) into little clay pots but they aren't looking very good-transplant shock. My friend Matt spent two years in France as a missionary in the Provence area and I want to share some of my lavender with him and sweet wife Becca.

Yesterday I posted some of my feelings in the passing of President Hinckley. I've caught myself wondering what the world thinks of him, his passing and the church I attend as I've seen news reports of his death on tv. Knowing that dear friends and family that are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints occasionally read this blog, I invite you to check this video out-find out what I believe and learn a little bit about President Hinckley. The topics in the video reflected the kinds of questions journalists were asking —questions about polygamy, the Church’s openness and whether Church members are Christian. I think you'll enjoy it. I hope you'll take the time to look at it - even if you are a member.

Beloved Church President . . .

Gordon B. Hinckley has passed yesterday at the age of 97. He was a man who loved God and Jesus Christ and was a true servant. What a privilege that he performed our marriage ordinance in the Salt Lake Temple and with such kindness. I pray for his family to be comforted but also rejoice in the Heavenly reunions I'm sure he is experiencing with his beloved Marjorie and others. I will try hard to honor his memory through my own service in a Christlike manner and striving to be a much better follower of my Savior. For more news and info go to this very good site.
